When looking at the previous hair products that I bought, it reminded me of the episode of the Wayans Bros. when they came up with a hair product that was suppose to make your hair amazing, but off of that. As naturals you hear, you don't want to become a product junkie... but you will never know what works for your hair unless you try it.. but you do have to be very careful, with these products cause you don't want your hair falling out... so the products that I currently use Eco Styler gel /Olive Oil ( yes the cooling oil)
(clear kind) max hold 10 for twist outs, braids outs.
For Co washes I use Garnier Fructis Conditioner, Trader Joes Conditioner and Pantene for Natural hair.. I don't use them all at once but I do mix Olive oil in the conditioner and sometimes Honey.. yes Honey. My hair tends to be a sponge and I need moisture to seal in the shine. I don't use heat that much anymore, once I get out of the shower I bloat dry my hair with a towel put in a leave in conditioner and french braid my hair. I let it air dry and then take it down the following day. As a leave in conditioner I use Karen's Body Beautiful Sweet Ambrosia.. but not all the time..cause its a small bottle. For Wash ~N~ Gos I use the Ecostyler gel and olive oil as a coat.. trust the fro is small the first day but by the third day.. it's big and afro~licious... so those are the main products I use as of now.. I still have Kinky curly products and I will try those soon :)
I do have my hair in braided up-do to keep from always touching my hair and plus its getting colder and I want a protective style for a couple of weeks before thinking of a holiday style.. but tell me what you think natural sistahs, what do you use?

tutto naturale ( all natural)

The weekend was filled with a bunch of events, went to my first all natural party. It was great seeing all my sistahs with different textures, just sharing their hair experience and how long they have been natural. Also, I won a basket of hair goody-ness ( I know its not a word..lol). This is what was in the basket. Kinky-curly curling custard, Knot-Today conditioner, now you guys know my experience with kinky curly products, I will give it a try again since I have the conditioner to go with it:) Pray its a good experience. I also got some Traders Joe conditioner, some pure virgin olive oil. two other conditioners... ( have to give you the names another time) and drum roll please.... BLUE ECO STYLER gel..., first time seeing the blue kind, but you know this my product and its maximum hold is a 5 so my curls and coils may have a softer hold and not so crunchy. I will post some pics of my styles soon, but question what is every one's winter hair regimen. Also got some valuable info about products to order and also got my another natural sistah YouTube info. She has tracked her hair progress so check her out.. SUPPORT THE MOVEMENT!!!!!
Also for those who still get there hair relaxed, its cool, just having healthy hair period is must for all sistahs of all shades :)
Check out my friends youtube below..its a good one

I'm BACK
So it has been a quite a minute fellow bloggers and those who follow me on the blog. So about 4months. So let's recap- I put braids in my hair and usually I keep braids in my hair for about 2-3 months yeah that may seem like a long time, but it's that long because it takes a while for my braids to start looking raggedy, and plus being on the constant go this past summer.. did not want to hassle with my hair. And TRUST.. the heat back home was ridiculous... and what I mean back home (meaning ---->)we currently live overseas, so going back to the good ole US of A is home. So I took my braids out recently about 3 or 4 weeks ago. NOW...NOW.... NOW.. that's when I need my natural sistahs to come through cause if you see my hair and the ruff age.. you would want to run to the creamy crack (that is a relaxer ya'll trust, no drugs this way..just say no-lol-).. nah for real.. SAY NO TO DRUGS..
But any who I pushed through and shampoo my hair.. and condition my hair.. I use Garnier Fructis conditioner and afterwards I used Ecostyler gel with olive oil...(pure cooking virgin olive oil).. OMG guys.. I never seen any curl definition until I used this product the Eco styler gel. So yes I had some tight coils.. ( trying to refrain from calling it nappy..lol..) and it was cute.. I think I found my product you guys.. Thank ya lawd.. -lol-, be encourage my natural sistahs.. if I can do it you can too.. :)

Hair Products
Being out here in Italy, I am very limited to hair supplies, unless I order them online, and this whole going natural thing is new to me.. yeah you may say well you been natural for about 2 years well, you know what I did, I would let my hair rest and then put them in some braids, ( cornrows, micros, medium individual braids). So yeah I'm still new at this. I just recently bought this pudding with Olive Oil, now on the container it said its an holding gel.. ummm maybe if my hair was fine, BUT I have coily hair.. which requires a stronger hold.-lol-so I did another co-wash and a braid out with this product, It smell like candy which is a plus for me. Who wants to have stinky hair.. when I woke up some parts of my hair was interesting... to say the lest...lol.. You know that movie with Queen Latifah Bringing down the house.. yeah I looked like that..lol..
maybe I need expert pudding users to give me some tips.. I did rock my fro on Saturday, but Saturday night I braided that fro up and my hair will remain braided up until I get to the states where I can go to my local hairstores.., so this will be my last post for awhile for the summer, so if your traveling just be safe and have a great summer everybody especially my natural sistahs :)
GOD BLESS :)

Kinky-Curl-less
So recently I have been watching Youtube and getting helpful tips for my natural hair. I had a friend give me some kinky curling custard awhile back. ( thanks Girl ;-) The first time I tried it was disasterous.. not the product itself, but the way I applied it.. boooo 1st time.. so I decided to give it another try this time.
Now mind you guys this is suppose to define your curl pattern, so from watching the videos on youtube, I thought I would get the wavy/curly/silky look. So here was the process, I Co-Wash my hair
( Co-Wash.. is when you use conditioner to wash your hair instead of shampoo)
then I rinsed it out and begin to apply the Kinky Curly product to my hair. Now my hair was drenched with water as I applied the product. According to the directions it said part into section and apply it. so I did that.. and I was like Mannnnnnn this stuff is Bomb.. my hair was shining and looking silky.. and then it started to dry.. and tell me why my hair looked like I was in a Soul-Glo video. ( NOW Let your soul-glo feeling oh so silky smooth) yeah.. that was me tight fro.. my curl pattern is called coily.. lol.. Don't get me wrong my natural sistahs.. coils are beautiful, I personally don't want to look like Michael J off his "Off the Wall album..lol.. I'm just saying. What products do you guys use out there to define your curls??
any feed back please feel free to help me out. thanks ya'll :)

New Products
So I have finally taken my micro braids out.. ( Praise the Lawd)-lol- and I decided to try a new product in my hair. So I was like let me research and look up what others are saying about the product. Not to my surprise I saw a lot of bad reviews about this product. So I was really hesitant about taken my braids out and also using this product. So I did what was natural to me. I starting praying, then I talk to others and then I kept researching the product and finally I saw good reviews. So I was like let me try it.
One : I was looking for a product to get my hair clean and also smelled good ( yeah you may think it's silly but when I smell my hair I want it to smell good just like my soap for my body)
Two: I was looking a reasonable price ( and it wasn't too cheap and it wasn't too expensive so it was just right)
Now the only thing I didn't look for was a De-tangle type of shampoo in which I should of :(
But it still worked great, now let's be realistic if you want a shampoo to clean your hair and put some moisture back this one is for you.
Don't expect it to perform a miracle on your hair when you are going natural yes ladies you have to work the kinks out. and have all the right appliances to get your hair straight. For my self I am embracing my mini puffs, I think I worry about what people think of my hair and not what I like, I like the fact that I can wear puffs and then wear it straight it's just too many options for your natural hair. So I am embracing my hair.
I did trim my hair myself... yey and then blow dried it... so yay me!!!
It was a report that the shampoo fuses the hair together.. it doesn't well not for me it didn't. So don't be scared to comb through the hair when it's wet..
Overall I like the product my hair feels soft.. and the natural process is continuing....
Btw the product was.. well let me use it a couple of more times and I will let you know :)

The Process
So with this whole natural process, I heard you have to do research and find out what these products mean, I feel like I am in Bio class again. The formula for this equals this..awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww( my home alone voice). So recently I purchased a product to wash and condition my hair. Yes it is out of the bracket of black hair care products but I will give it a try.I did read reviews on it and of course you had those reviews that were extreme and you also had those that had hope. Like one day my hair could look like that. So I start the process pretty soon with taking my micros out. You may think what's so major about taking micro-braids out. Well if your not in comfort of the states and running to nearest braid shop in NYC it can be a little scary. So I will let you know how that product works on my hair. Until then...peace love and hair grease ( in which I will be using some soon)..-lol-
